The One, a single-story A-frame with a loft window, at the edge of a spruce forest in a pale meadow
Model 2 of 5 · 1 story + loft

The One

A single-story home with a tall open volume and a wide loft at the knee line.

The One is the A-frame most people picture, kicked out at the walls so the main floor is not a triangle. Living, kitchen and a bedroom sit on the main floor; the loft lands exactly where the profile is widest, which makes it a proper second room rather than a crawl space. The gable glazing runs the full height of the house.

  • Full-height gable glazing
  • Loft at the widest point of the profile
  • One bedroom on the main floor
  • Covered entry under the kicked wall
  • Ships on one truck
